TCS HackQuest Season 7 for Students | 2022 and 2023 Batch

TCS HackQuest 2023

TCS launched HackQuest Season 7. This CTF is for the 2022 and 2023 batch students. TCS HackQuest is organized by the TCS Cyber Security unit to search for passionate cybersecurity professionals. HackQuest was started in 2016 to unearth talent through Capture the Flag.

TCS HackQuest 2022

Education Qualifications:

Students must be from the 2022 and 2023 batches of B. Tech, M. Tech, BSc, MSc, BCA and MCA (CS or IT branch) and other relevant disciplines.


Age limit: 

Students should be at least 18 years.

Prize:

The winner will get a cash prize of 5 Lakh rupees. Round 2 qualifier may get the opportunity to work with TCS.

Note: Participants can not participate in the team. This is an individual CTF contest.


Event details:

This is an online event. TCS HackQuest will start on 7 January at 10 am and end at 4 pm and reporting will be from 4 to 6 pm. There will be 2 rounds in the contest.

Round 1- Round 1 will be the technical round. Participants will play an online Catch the Flag competition. CTF will be divided into sub rounds and shortlisted participants will move to Round 2.

Round 2- In Round 2 shortlisted participants will be interviewed.


Topic:

The contest will have challenges in Digital Forensics, system exploitation, web application penetration testing, mobile security and incident response.


TCS HackQuest Learning Community

Students can join the learning community to enhance ethical hacking skills. This community offers quizzes, Blogs, learning resources, webinars and opportunities to meet experts and past winners.

Instructions:

  • The first round of contests will start on 7th January 2023(Saturday) at 10 AM and end at 4 PM.
  • Participants can submit reports between 4 to 6 PM.
  • The report should be in HackQuest format, which can be downloaded from the portal.
  • Your CT/DT ID should be valid and correct else your participation will be disqualified.
  • Participants can use various tools but automated scanners or tools which generate huge traffic are prohibited.
  • Bruteforcing is prohibited.
  • On solving the challenge you will get a flag in the format of HQ7FLAG {..}. Participants have to copy the flags in the submission box.
  • Some hidden keys would be in the format of HQ7{...}, pay attention to them.
